About the Role

We are looking for a Subject Matter Expert in Digital Assets with strong expertise in both digital asset ecosystems and the applicable national and European regulatory frameworks.

The role focuses exclusively on digital assets, including blockchain-based financial infrastructures, tokenization, and emerging digital asset markets. The position requires a strong understanding of regulatory and legal frameworks governing digital assets in Europe, as well as the ability to analyze new business models and technological developments within this evolving sector.

The successful candidate will contribute to a knowledge platform documenting European digital asset business cases, regulatory developments, and market innovations, while supporting the evaluation of digital asset initiatives and technologies.

This position is part of a small and dynamic team focused on innovation in financial services and digital asset ecosystems across the European market.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Asset Expertise

• Provide expert insight on digital asset ecosystems, blockchain infrastructures, and tokenized financial assets.
• Analyze developments in cryptocurrencies, tokenization, stablecoins, and decentralized finance (DeFi).
• Assess new digital asset business models and emerging market structures.

Regulatory & Legal Analysis

• Maintain deep knowledge of national and European regulatory frameworks applicable to digital assets.
• Monitor and analyze legal and regulatory developments affecting digital asset markets in Europe.
• Evaluate the regulatory implications of emerging digital asset technologies and business models.
• Contribute to internal analysis of regulatory frameworks relevant to digital asset activities.

Market & Technology Analysis

• Monitor developments in the European and global digital asset landscape.
• Analyze digital asset technologies, platforms, and infrastructures.
• Evaluate digital asset market trends and emerging use cases.

Knowledge Platform Contribution

• Contribute to the development of a knowledge platform documenting European digital asset business cases, regulatory developments, and market innovations.
• Structure and document digital asset initiatives, business models, and regulatory developments.
• Support AI-driven analysis and knowledge structuring related to digital assets and their regulatory environment.

Working Environment

• Work as part of a small, agile, and highly motivated team focused on financial innovation.
• Contribute to initiatives exploring digital assets and new financial market infrastructures.
• Participate in research and analysis of digital asset developments across the European market.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Law, Technology, or a related field.
• 5–10+ years of professional experience working specifically in the digital asset ecosystem.
• Experience gained within:
• digital asset companies or blockchain ecosystems,
• FinTech companies specializing in digital assets,
• financial institutions developing digital asset capabilities, or
• consulting or advisory firms specializing in digital asset markets.

Skills and Expertise

• Strong expertise in digital asset markets and blockchain-based infrastructures.
• Deep understanding of tokenization models and digital asset ecosystems.
• Strong knowledge of European and national regulatory frameworks governing digital assets.
• Familiarity with legal and regulatory aspects of digital asset markets.
• Strong analytical capability to evaluate digital asset technologies, regulatory frameworks, and market developments.
