Locations : This position can be based in any Arcadis office location in Germany while the onsite projects will primarily be located in the Frankfurt and RhineMain area.

Role accountabilities :

As a (Senior) Cost Manager you will contribute to the development of effective cost procurement and commercial strategies supporting our clients throughout the entire project lifecyclefrom initiation procurement bid evaluation negotiation awarding and contract managementto ensure the safe delivery of costeffective solutions for our clients programs projects and business goals.

  • Develop monitor and update cost plans and budgets for construction projects.
  • Analyze cost forecasts variances and risks and develop measures to achieve cost savings.
  • Evaluate contracts bids and compensation structures related to construction activities.
  • Collaborate closely with project management to integrate cost aspects and ensure the financial performance of projects.
  • Prepare financial reports cost analysis and recommendations for management.
  • Monitor payments invoices and financial agreements with suppliers contractors and subcontractors.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in project execution.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Bachelors Masters degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering Quantity Surveying Construction Management Economics Business Administration or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience (7 years) in cost control and financial management of construction projectsideally with a focus on Data Centers (only desirable) or other largescale infrastructure projects.
  • Negotiation skills analytical abilities and a strong understanding of financial aspects of construction projects.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders including contractors suppliers and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in cost management software and MS Excel as well as MS Project and other similar programs.
  • Certification or membership in relevant professional associations such as the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) or Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English is essential and fluency German is advantageous.
  • Willingness to regularly travel within Germany and abroad as required for project demands.
  • Agility and the ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions and requirements (especially market and client demands).
  • Proficiency in working with AHO HOAI and VOB.
