VBS is currently looking for a System Administrator – Microsoft Experienced to manage and maintain IT infrastructure, ensure system performance, and provide technical support to users.

As part of the IT Infrastructure Team, you will have an important role by ensuring that the System Administration is reliable, efficient, secured and aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.

You will support the team by improving the company’s IT Infrastructure by operating and maintaining an operational excellence for the System Administration. Moreover, you will be involved in our newM365 journey.

You will report to the Head of IT Operations and IT Infrastructure Supervisor.

You should share our core values : accountability, trust, and client satisfaction , embodying them in their daily actions and decision.

You will be in charge of :

  • Ensuring the day-to-day administration of the infrastructure platforms;
  • Taking care of incoming requests and incidents related to the Microsoft systems and prepare for changes;
  • Performance tuning, hardware and software upgrades, resource optimization, systems upgrade / patching;
  • Ensuring the system hardware, operating systems, software systems and related procedures are coincident to defined business strategy;
  • Performing daily systems checks, verifying and validating the integrity and availability of hardware, resources;
  • Reviewing and adapting disaster recovery plan and recovery procedures all along the new implementations;
  • Keeping up to date with the latest developments in Microsoft platform, propose initiatives and improvements;
  • Performing regular security monitoring to identify potential issues;
  • Participating in ad-hoc infrastructure projects and opportunities for improving services in collaboration with other members of the team.

To be successful in this role, you need :

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent academic background;
  • Full professional proficiency in English is required; proficiency in French is an asset;
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in System & Security Administration. A first relevant experience in this field is mandatory ;
  • A strong knowledge of Microsoft tools and systems such as :
  • Active Directory, Exchange, Windows, WSUS, SCCM , EDR, PKI, Entra ID and M365 administration;
  • An experience with Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Purview is a strong asset.
  • The technical knowledge of IronPort Systems, patch management automation with Ansible and Opsview Monitoring;
  • Strong communication skills to share ideas, technical details, improves teamwork and workplace relationship;
  • The ability to work autonomously, demonstrate initiative and strong team spirit;
  • Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving mindset;
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and preserve confidential information.
