The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tübingen invites applications for a position at the Institute of Applied Medical Informatics as a
W1 Assistant Professor (f / m / d) of Human Language Technologies
available immediately.
In accordance with LHG § 51 (7) this fixed-term position (category W1) is initially limited to four years, with the possibility of extension by a further two years after a positive interim evaluation.
The successful candidate will contribute to the institute’s research focus on information retrieval (IR), natural language processing (NLP) and their role in clinical decision making.
Required qualifications include an outstanding doctorate in computer science, medical informatics, mathematics, computer linguistics or electrical engineering, a competitive track record of internationally acclaimed publications in leading peer-reviewed NLP venues, as well as teaching experience and a commitment to teaching. The position has a teaching obligation of four hours per week prior to interim evaluation and six hours thereafter.
