Manifesto Market is a tech-enabled food hall concept transforming urban spaces into vibrant culinary and cultural destinations. We blend hospitality, curated gastronomy, and digital execution to create unique community hubs in the heart of Europe.

Role Overview

As a Finance & Business Operations Intern, you will play a central role in maintaining our financial ecosystem, supporting Controlling, and streamlining day-to-day venue operations. You will collaborate cross-functionally to optimize workflows, analyze performance metrics, and ensure financial records remain precise and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Data Analysis: Maintain key operational datasets and analyze recurring sales, cost trends, and performance metrics to compile simple visual summaries for management.


  • Process Improvement: Spot administrative bottlenecks in financial and operational workflows, proposing practical fixes to boost speed and tracking accuracy.


  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with venue operations, marketing, and vendor management to align site activities with central financial guidelines.


  • Financial Maintenance & Controlling: Build and maintain structured Excel models to track expenses, monitor budget variances, and assist with financial controlling tasks.


  • Month-End Closing Support: Support month-end financial closing by auditing transaction details, clearing discrepancies, and verifying supporting documents.


  • Transaction Categorization: Review daily financial activity, ensuring accurate ledger categorization and routine record maintenance across accounts.


  • Document Recovery: Follow up with internal departments, venue managers, and external vendors to gather missing invoices, receipts, and supporting paperwork.


  • Financial Record Organization: Clean up, structure, and archive prior financial records to ensure complete historical compliance and audit readiness.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.


  • Excel & Analytical Skills: Strong grasp of Microsoft Excel (formulas, data cleanup, pivot tables) for structured reporting and budget analysis.


  • Controlling Mindset: Methodical, structured approach with a sharp interest in budget tracking and financial controls.


  • Proactive & Communicative: Comfortable asserting ideas, asking questions, and coordinating cross-functionally across departments.


  • Organization & Detail: Exceptional attention to detail when auditing entries, organizing documents, and standardizing historical records.


  • Languages: Professional working proficiency in English is required; German language skills are a strong asset.
