1. Project Context
Deutsche Bahn AG (DB) is transitioning to Polarion, a new requirements management tool designed to support the tendering, procurement, and management of requirements for rail vehicles, parts, and infrastructure.
Polarion will replace the existing IBM DOORS Rational tool, serving as a comprehensive solution throughout the entire procurement lifecycle, from the development of requirements and performance descriptions to the evaluation of offers and post-procurement warranty management.
This project requires the services of an Intermediate Developer to facilitate data migration from DOORS to Polarion and to support the overall implementation process.
2. Services Required
The contractor will be responsible for providing the following services :
- Data Analysis and Migration :
- Analyze existing data in the IBM DOORS Rational tool.
- Analyze the target data structure in the Polarion requirements management tool.
- Create tools to facilitate the migration of data from DOORS to Polarion.
- Implement three data migrations and document the process.
- Estimate the effort required to completely migrate all data from DOORS to Polarion.
- Testing and Collaboration :
- Collaborate with technical testers to ensure the quality of the created tools.
- Test and document the tools developed for the data migration process.
