The Power Conversion Technology Laboratory within Huawei’s Nuremberg Research Center is responsible for Advanced Digital Power Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning, and plays an important role in the Huawei Digital Power business in the design and development of power converters and control systems for applications such as PV Solar & Battery Energy Storage Field, Data Centers, Electric Vehicle, and Embedded Power Supply.
You will be part of the HUAWEI Energy R&D Competence Center in Nuremberg.
Now we are looking for a : HV SiC Characterization Intern (m / f / d)
Job Responsibilities :
- Literature review on wide bang-gap semiconductors (mainly high-voltage SiC devices) and their dynamic characterization methods;
- Definition of testing plan : selection of SiC devices, identification of relevant parameters to be evaluated during tests, etc;
- Dynamic characterization (Double-Pulse Test method) and post-processing of the acquired data;
- Development of SiC device loss models on Plecs based on experimental data;
- Identification of relevant DC / DC and DC / AC topologies based on system-level PV requirements;
- Efficiency evaluation of the SiC-based selected topologies based on the developed Plecs models.
