At your site,you’ll lead other managers and create the operational plan thathelps your teams meet their targets. This role is all about drivingoperational excellence to create the Amazon of tomorrow. Key jobresponsibilities Manage and develop a team of Area Managers. Leadoperational teams on a shift, deal with issues, and positivelyimpact site performance. Analyse shift performance against relevantbusiness objectives, and put in place actions to improve ouroperational excellence. Work closely with other support teams,including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security. Design anddeliver initiatives across the sites to improve operationalperformance. A day in the life You’ll lead shifts at one of ouroperational sites. You’ll also be the key link between a number ofteams, including finance, safety and operations integration teams.That means you’ll be close to the day-to-day operations at yoursite but also contribute to new ways to innovate at your site. Atypical day will involve meetings with different areas of thebusiness, deep diving into performance and risk metrics for sites,and looking ahead to prepare for different levels of demand. Everyday will also involve mentoring and coaching your team. You’ll be asource of leadership and support your team to be the best managersthey can be. About the team Customer Fulfilment, or CF, is where itall started for Amazon. CF has scaled up from a humble team ofbooksellers to a sophisticated global team which handles more than1.5 million orders every day. The team is the foundation of ourbusiness and its efforts have helped us diversify across newregions and services. The CF team are the first peoplein the chain that helps customers get products at the speed we’reknown for. We’re based in Fulfilment Centres, which are at theheart of Amazon’s fast-paced Operations network. Our centres aresometimes referred to as the ‘First Mile’ because it’s where mostAmazon packages start their journey. We help to manage dynamicinventory and facilitate speedy deliveries round the clock. Lots ofdifferent people work in our Fulfilment Centres, so there areplenty of opportunities for every skillset. Some of us work withphysical products, while others analyse data to help everyoneacross the business make smart decisions. BEVORZUGTEQUALIFIKATIONEN Preferred qualifications are not required to applyfor a position at Amazon. If you have all the basic qualificationsabove, we’d love to hear from you. Experience in Lean, Six Sigmaand Kaizen techniques. Experience in a similar logistical workingenvironment.
