We are looking for a Financial Analyst in Cost Controlling (m / f / d), based in Munich.
Your Team
Within CFO Global Performance Steering (GPS), the Cost Controlling team is the “point of entry” towards the business on all cost topics. The mandate of the cost team is to steer and challenge Allianz Commercial cost, productivity, and FTE development globally against overall aspiration level and facilitate results-oriented discussions at senior management level.
The Impact You Will Have
In this role, you will drive the cost controlling activities with specific focus on IT / AZ Technology cost reporting by identifying key drivers, risks and opportunities and provide tangible recommendations. The core tasks will include reliable monthly reporting, forecasting, year-end steering and planning processes. Furthermore, you will bring across results / messaging in major projects and presentations contributing to respective Steercos, Productivity Dialogue and Planning Dialogue.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include :
Analyze cost / expenses from a monthly reporting and yearly planning basis by :
Providing required management reporting & analysis (regular and ad-hoc) and financial consultancy with specific focus on IT / AZ Technology cost.
Co-ordinating relevant input from various sources as well as amongst peers and matrix functions to provide a consolidated global view of IT / AZ Technology cost.
Presenting conclusions in a transparent way with robust financial commentary to enable decision making.
Responding reliably to ad-hoc requests and special cost analysis to support business decisions.
Drive initiatives and efficiently communicate :
Participate in projects and initiatives as required.
Engage in pro-active and effective exchange among all stakeholders.
Find opportunities to improve and streamline processes.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
First experience in areas related to controlling, financial modelling and analysis, preferably in the Insurance / Financial Services industry.
Strong analytical skills incl. ability to handle and analyze large amount of data.
Excellent MS Office skills (in particular MS Excel) and proven experience in finance reporting / planning systems (e.g. SAP).
Strong educational background, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or qualified by experience in related discipline.
Embracing agile working and engage in constant learning, to adapt to internal and external customer needs.
Ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively in English, to a variety of stakeholders including senior management.
Comfortable working both in a team and independently and enjoying working in an international and dynamic environment.
A willingness to learn and explore how AI can enhance your role, and the broader organization is expected.
