Responsibilities

Are you interested in how companies manage risks, protect data, and ensure good governance? As a Working Student in Internal Audit & Data Protection, you will gain hands-on experience at the intersection of compliance, audit, data protection, and business processes. You will work closely with experienced colleagues, contribute to real projects, and get insights into how a global tech company manages internal controls, privacy requirements, and governance topics.

• Support Internal Audit and Data Protection projects through research, documentation, analysis, and coordination activities

• Assist with maintaining and improving privacy documentation, records of processing activities (ROPAs), and governance-related records

• Support KPI tracking, reporting, and preparation of management update

• Help prepare presentations, reports, and communication materials for management and governance bodies

• Contribute to internal audits by supporting planning, documentation, evidence collection, and follow-up activities

• Work closely with stakeholders from Legal, Finance, IT, Security, and other business functions

• Gain exposure to governance, risk management, compliance, and data protection topics within a global technology company

Requirements

• Enrolled student (all genders) in higher education for law, business administration, information security, compliance or any related subject

• Availability to support the team alongside your studies for at least 5-6 months (ideally longer), approx. 20 hours per week

• Business level fluency in English is mandatory, further languages such as German are a plus

• Strong analytical and organizational skills

• Interest in governance, audit, compliance, risk management, or data protection

• Comfortable working with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

• Attention to detail and a structured way of working

• Curiosity and willingness to learn about how companies manage risks, controls, and compliance requirements

What we offer

• The contract location will be Göppingen, Germany

• Our Working Students in Germany receive a competitive monthly salary:

  • €1,566 for a 20-hour/week contract

  • €1,253 for a 16-hour/week contract

  • €1,400 for a full-time internship position
