SQL specialist / performance tuner for databases (m / f / d)

Location : Geilenkirchen | immediately

Are you an experienced SQL specialist and love "tinkering" with complex databases to get the best possible performance out of them? Databases and their optimization are your world, and you have no problem diving deep into the subject matter to find efficient solutions? Perfect, then we're looking for you!

Your tasks

  • Development of database backends : Based on solutions such as Entity Framework or ADO.NET, we have developed a customized framework in C++ to enable the connection of databases to our ERP system. With your expertise, you will extend and optimize our access layer so that it is tailored specifically to our requirements and offers greater efficiency than generic solutions such as Entity Framework or ADO.NET could achieve.
  • Optimization of ERP databases : You work on databases and ensure that they run even faster and more reliably.
  • Database maintenance and expansion : you develop user-friendly solutions that not only set standards today, but also in the future.
  • Performance tuning : You optimize SQL access at all levels (application, framework, database) and ensure that even large amounts of data are processed efficiently.

What you bring with you

  • Qualifications : You have a degree in computer science or have completed comparable training - experience is more important to us than formal qualifications.
  • Sound database knowledge : You know your way around SQL and at least one of the major database systems such as Microsoft SQL or Oracle.
  • Hands-on mentality : You get the most out of performance and also find creative solutions to problems in unconventional ways.
  • Programming experience : Ideally, you have knowledge of C++ or another object-oriented language.
