Your Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer - Backend (m / f / d) you are responsible for the development and scaling of our document automation platform.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • You develop the core platform that enables end users to train complex AI algorithms for document automation.
  • You are responsible for the design and implementation of RESTful APIs and backend services in Python and operate them in the cloud.
  • You work together with our Machine Learning Engineers on the integration and scaling of AI models.
  • You ensure the stability and performance of the system through automated testing and continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI / CD) practices.
  • You contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and technology stack.
  • You actively shape our AI strategy and architecture.
  • You work in agile teams according to Scrum and Kanban.

What you need to succeed

  • You have a degree in computer science mathematics physics or a related field; a focus on software development is an advantage.
  • You have already gained some practical professional experience in software development with Python.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of developing backend solutions and microservices.
  • Ideally you have experience with common frameworks and technologies in the Python ecosystem (e.g. Django Flask FastAPI).
  • You have already worked with large amounts of data in relational or NoSQL database systems.
  • You are familiar with Docker Kubernetes and cloud infrastructures (AWS GCP Azure) as well as CI / CD pipelines.
  • You are a team player with an innovative spirit and are able to work in a fast-paced environment. You can also work independently and are self-organized.
  • Your profile is rounded off by very good English language skills.
