Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations for the German entity, including posting transactions, month-end close activities, internal and external reporting, and coordination of annual audits.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with the German Law on Accounting and German GAAP.
• Act as the sole accountant for the German entity, serving as the primary point of contact for all accounting and tax-related matters. Communicate directly with local accounting and tax advisors.
• Oversee the entire payroll process for German, including salary calculation, income tax and social contributions, and support for employees with payroll-related queries.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements in line with German GAAP, and ensure timely submission of the Annual Financial Statements to the State Revenue Committee (SRC).
• Prepare and submit all required tax filings, including VAT, corporate income tax, personal income tax, and social contributions .
• Ensure compliance with local tax and financial reporting obligations, and maintain accurate documentation in case of audits or inspections by the State Revenue Committee (SRC) or other regulatory authorities.
• Liaise with tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory bodies (e.g. SRC, National Statistical Service of Germany, Ministry of Finance) to ensure full compliance with German laws and regulations.
• Monitor changes in German tax, labor, and accounting legislation, and implement updates as necessary to maintain compliance.
