Your role and responsibilities
As a Technical Support Specialist, you will focus on ABB’s state-of-the-art Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Digital Solutions within the Energy, Process and Marine industries. You will join a global acting team of specialists supporting ABB’s front-end organizations for all aspects of customer technical issue resolutions starting from design phase up to long-term operational phase. As a product specialist you will interact with Product Management, R&D and other subject matter experts to combine all technical expertise with an interest in finding customer solutions as well as addressing functionality aspects of our products. - Support ABB’s front-end organizations in using ABB’s Process Automation DCS solutions with focus on ABB Ability System 800xA and Symphony Plus Melody
- Diagnose and troubleshoot on technical issues - evaluation of problem descriptions, analysis of log files, remote diagnostics in installed base, etc.
- Collaborate with cross-functional global teams, including product management, product development, and ABB front-end organizations, to address complex technical issues and improve products
- Build and maintain a technical infrastructure that support you and global team in developing and testing solutions, as well as reproducing product issues
- Build-up and maintain technical competence in ABB’s DCS product portfolio
- Active exchange and competence development for local and global support teams
