Are you passionate about financial inclusion and social impact Meet Lendorse a dynamic and innovative Fintech / Edtech startup that is breaking down barriers to education for talented students from developing countries. At Lendorse we believe that everyone deserves access to quality education regardless of their financial background. Thats why we offer Income Share Agreements (ISAs) and mentoring to help students achieve their dreams without the burden of debt. Our proprietary predictive salary model allows us to assess creditworthiness without a credit check collateral or cosigner meaning we can help those who are often overlooked by traditional financial institutions. Tasks

You will :

  • Own and further develop our underwriting and student scoring model for evaluating student applicants including identifying gaps and areas of improvement
  • Build systems or models to analyse and interpret data to assess the creditworthiness and risk profile of students
  • Incorporate external market factors and data into the underwriting model to ensure accurate risk assessment
  • Leverage advanced analytics and machine learning techniques in underwriting
  • Lead the data collection efforts to ensure informed databased decisionmaking

Requirements

You have :

  • A Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g. finance economics mathematics data science)
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in underwriting or an adjacent field preferably in an insurance financial or lending institution
  • A strong proficiency in data analysis and modelling with expertise in using statistical software and programming languages such as Python
  • A solid understanding of credit risk assessment principles and methodologies
  • The ability to interpret complex financial data and make sound underwriting decisions
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail
  • A selfmotivated and proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
