Role and Responsibilities

As an Environmental, Health, Safety and Security Manager (EHSS) at Samsung Semiconductor in Munich, we are creating a new role to raise awareness in the area of EHSS among our employees and management. You will oversee occupational health and safety and implement comprehensive programs.

As EHSS Officer and Chair of the Security Committee and Arbeitssicherheitsausschuss (ASA), you have a wide reach within the company and work with various stakeholders. You will present your strategy to our headquarters in Korea and the management in Munich so that your topics can be sustainably embedded in the company strategy. Management sponsorship is given.

In this role you are the primary liaison for the whole company and for local authorities, with staying informed about industry trends and best practices, and applying this knowledge to continuously improve our EHSS standards, as well as relevant ISO frameworks.

Help us making an impact on our environmental responsibility by promoting plans to reduce carbon emissions and pollution whilst staying best in class security.

The health and safety of our employees is crucial for us! That's why we offer first aid courses, eye examinations and vaccinations, for example. You ensure that our employees get out of the building safely in the event of a fire through appropriate measures and drills.

Skills and Qualifications

• With your University degree and a completed training as "SiFa / SiBe" you built a foundation for your new created role at Samsung.
• Experience as an EHSS specialist and strong knowledge of German EHSS regulations and standards, including workplace safety and environmental protection to establish your EHSS strategy in the company.
• Self-starter, curiosity and will to develop.
• Experience in setting up processes and documentation including corresponding EHSS tools and systems as per industry best practices.
• Experience in managing EHSS audits and implementing corrective actions.
• Strong communication skills in English and German, (Korean is an asset) to liaise with various internal and external stakeholders as well as joy and ability to train employees.
• Profound cultural awareness and the ability to navigate in our multi-cultural environment and to adjust to all hierarchy level.
