Test Engineer – Mechatronic Systems & Machinery (m / f / d)

Our client is looking for a dedicated Test Engineer to join their team in the development and validation of complex mechatronic systems and machinery, primarily used in pharmaceutical production environments. This role is ideal for an individual with a passion for quality, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for testing and validating systems at every stage of development—from individual components to fully assembled machines. Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, the Test Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of advanced automated equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and document tests across various levels (component, subsystem, system, and machine) to verify functionality and compliance.
• Develop and apply efficient testing strategies, including automation, to improve testing accuracy and speed.
• Set up, operate, and continuously improve test environments and rigs to simulate real-world performance scenarios.
• Analyse test outcomes, diagnose root causes of faults, and contribute to iterative design improvements.
• Work collaboratively with software, electrical, mechanical, and process engineers to support seamless system integration.
• Oversee system-level validation, commissioning, and final acceptance of machines.
• Produce comprehensive test documentation, including protocols, analyses, and reports.
• Participate in the evolution of internal testing tools, software, and methods in an agile development setting.
