Quality Engineer (m/w/d)
OHBAugsburg, Bayern, DEWe - MT Aerospace - are part of the OHB Space and Technology Group. As a leading international aerospace company, we develop, manufacture and test essential components for launcher programs such as Ariane, the Space Launch System (SLS) as well as commercial launcher systems, the Airbus fleet, spacecrafts, satellites and defense applications. Thanks to globally unique manufacturing technologies, we create high-performance products made of metal and fiber composites, such as large load-bearing structures and cryotanks, lightweight structures and fuel as well as pressure tanks that combine maximum performance with minimum weight. Especially our business areas of additive manufacturing, CFRP and hydrogen mobility make us a sought-after partner outside the aerospace sector as well. We currently employ around 600 people at our headquarter in Augsburg and at the launch site in Kourou (French Guiana).

Your Tasks
- Supporting the development department in planning and implementing quality-related requirements
- Creating quality and test plans for new products and product changes
- Ensuring product quality even after delivery (life cycle planning, etc.)
- Moderating and conducting FMEA (system, design and process FMEA), risk analyses and evaluation of design weaknesses
- Initiating and tracking corrective and preventive measures
- Planning and evaluating verification and validation measures (V&V)
- Supporting functional, service life and environmental tests
- Providing quality support for the approval of development stages, functional samples, test samples, prototypes and series production starts
- Working closely with other departments, suppliers and external development partners
- Supporting technical reviews and design reviews and participating in internal and external audits
- Ensuring compliance with standards
- Preparation of quality-related documentation and reports
- Further development and training of quality methods in development
- Initiating and supporting improvement projects
- Promoting design to cost, design for quality/design for manufacturing
- Supporting the establishment of robust development and approval processes
Your Qualifications
- Completed technical degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, industrial engineering, etc.
- Multicoloured and proven experience in product development or quality assurance desirable
- Very good knowledge of quality methods (FMEA, 8D, 5-Why, SPC, APQP, etc.)
- Open to new digital methods of risk management and quality methods (FDIR, FTA, WCA, etc.)
- Very good experience with standards and regulatory requirements
- Analytical thinking, structured working style and good communication skills
- Team-oriented, assertive and solution-oriented
- Understanding quality in development as a system. Preventive and not just documentation and curative
