The newly created Sovereign Services & Delivery (SS&D) business unit is part of SAP Customer Services and Delivery board with responsibility across the relevant Sovereign Cloud portfolio of SAP. Sovereign Services & Delivery is collaborating closely with all Board areas to establish a harmonized, scalable, and consistent offering with transparent and standardized deliverables.

YOUR FUTURE ROLE

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer (f/m/d) in the area of Azure within the Product Architecture & Enablement unit of the newly created Sovereign Services & Delivery (SS&D) business unit team.

You will be working on the enablement of Delos and France Bleu on Azure through collaborating closely with SAP product teams, technical product managers, developers, security experts, and regional operators. You will work on development and implementation tasks but you will also take over project and program related responsibilities as a frontrunner in this topic.

You will be working on deployment automation, product operations/deployments, deployment documentation as well as supporting SAP Sovereign Cloud regional operations teams. Your tasks will encompass new build outs and productive tool development and integration, providing you with hands-on experience in various DevOps tasks.

What you bring

• University degree in computer science, engineering or similar
• Professional experience in Cloud Delivery related fields and technologies
• Hands on experience with technologies like Container Orchestration (Kubernetes), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), Monitoring and Logging (Prometheus, Elasticsearch, Kibana or Grafana)
• Good expertise of public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) with focus on Azure
• Good knowledge of Cloud infrastructure, architecture, and design
• Interest in Security related topics
• Fundamental SAP product knowledge – Public Cloud like BTP, Success Factors and as well as Private Cloud Products, e.g. SAP NetWeaver Basis, SAP S/4HANA PCE
• Hands on experience with any of/multiple automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform and CI/CD pipelines e.g. Jenkins, CircleDI, DroneCI or ArgoCD as well as knowledge of Git (preferred) or SVN
• Prior team or work stream lead experience
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash or Python is a plus
• Decision-making and can-do attitude
• Methodological and conceptual skills paired with analytical thinking
• Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Persistence, self-motivation and willingness to work under pressure
• Fluency in written and spoken English – German is a plus
• Willingness to go through personal security clearance (Government process)
