We expect the Database Administrator to :
- Manage monitor and optimise Oracle and Postgres database systems ensuring high performance availability and security
- Design and implement Oracle and Postgres database structures based on business requirements
- Identify and resolve performance issues optimise queries and proactively monitor database performance
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data protection and disaster recovery capabilities
- Implement and maintain database security measures to safeguard sensitive data
- Investigate and resolve databaserelated issues provide technical support to users and collaborate with developers and other IT staff
- Create and maintain comprehensive database documentation including configurations processes and procedures
- Plan and execute database upgrades and apply patches to ensure the latest features security enhancements and bug fixes.
