Tasks & responsibilities

• In your role, you support major CapEx (Capital Expenditure) projects globally within Sourcing for the Global Category Engineering, Construction and Equipment. These major investments can be production facilities, office, or laboratory buildings.
• In major CapEx projects you will purchase the main production- / lab-equipment together with Global Category Managers (., prepare bidding list / tendering procedures / leading of contractual negotiations).
• With your expertise, you support the Global Category Head by implementing Sourcing excellence in CapEx projects as well as global governance principles for major invest (CapEx-) projects.
• You will be responsible for implementing a project sourcing strategy for the categories production equipment (., Bio- / Pharmaceutical process equipment) as well as large scale lab equipment like HPLC-systems including supplier management.
• Establish best practices especially for the implementation phase in major CapEx projects.
• You are used to work independently within a project team across categories and being embedded in a matrix organization.
• You build effective internal business partner relationships to identify saving potentials, to deliver best Sourcing value to Boehringer Ingelheim including guidance and steering of business partners effectively in Sourcing processes.
