Alpine Business Consulting is a specialized team of professionals dedicated to fixing enterprise performance management systems. Many large organizations invest millions into complex planning and reporting tools, only to end up with data that does not match and systems that nobody trusts. We step in to clean up the data, fix the configuration, and ensure that the finance team has a single source of truth. We prioritize clear documentation and predictable results over corporate buzzwords.
Currently, our team is supporting a major German logistics company with a significant system overhaul. This project involve cleaning up years of fragmented reporting structures and building a more reliable framework for their global operations. We are looking for a Project Coordinator Intern to support our senior consultants in managing the moving parts of this engagement. This is a full-time, fully remote position where you will gain hands-on experience in how professional service projects are structured and delivered from the ground up.
About the role In this role, you will be the organizational anchor for our project team. Because we work in a fully remote environment, clear communication and rigorous documentation are the only ways to stay on track. You will work closely with our lead consultants to ensure that the German logistics project stays within its defined scope and that every meeting results in actionable tasks rather than just talk. This is not about fetching coffee. It is about learning the mechanics of project management in a technical consulting environment.
The work is often focused on the details. You will be helping to maintain project schedules, documenting technical requirements, and ensuring that our client contacts have everything they need to prepare for system handovers. You will see firsthand how we move a client from a state of reporting chaos toward a structured, reliable configuration. This position is a paid internship, and the compensation is competitive for entry-level roles in the business consulting sector.
What you will be doing - Coordinate meeting schedules between our internal team and the stakeholders at the German logistics firm.
- Draft detailed meeting minutes that capture technical decisions and specific action items.
- Update project timelines and task lists to reflect real-world progress and potential roadblocks.
- Assist consultants in organizing project documentation and training guides for the client.
- Monitor the project mailbox to ensure that client requests are logged and routed to the right person.
- Help prepare status reports that focus on facts and data rather than fluff.
- Verify that the project repository is organized so that any team member can find a single source of truth for current documents.
- Support the final handover phase by checking that all configuration guides are complete and clear.
What we are looking for - Current students or recent graduates with an interest in project management or business consulting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A preference for structure and organization over chaos and improvisation.
- Basic proficiency with spreadsheets and project management software.
- The ability to summarize complex conversations into simple, clear bullet points.
- A professional attitude when interacting with clients and internal team members.
- Curiosity about how financial systems and data reporting actually work in a large corporation.
- Reliable time management skills since this is a 100 percent remote position.
- Knowledge of basic office software and a willingness to learn new tools quickly.
How we work At Alpine Business Consulting, we move away from the typical consulting model of selling endless hours. We prefer fixed-price quotes and transparent delivery. We believe that if a system is configured properly, the client should not need us forever. Our goal is to provide a clean handover and thorough documentation so that the client team can remain independent. This philosophy guides everything we do, from how we track our time to how we write our project plans.
Working remotely requires a specific kind of discipline. We value consultants who are direct and who value the time of others. We avoid long, aimless meetings and instead focus on getting the configuration right the first time. As an intern, you will be treated as a professional from day one, with the support and guidance needed to understand the realities of technical project delivery.
