Join us and enjoy playing a major role to enhance the Central Europe Construction & Commissioning function with fresh ideas.The Commissioning Manager shall be responsible for leading all commissioning activities of defined HVDC projects under execution in GSI as per GE Quality, Construction & Commissioning & EHS Process and guidelines, provide critical commissioning cost related and other support to the bid management team for tenders in the region and will be fully responsible for coordination with customer representatives to ensure client compliance & satisfaction as per the contract.The position holder reports to the Regional Construction & Commissioning Leader.Permanent project site presence is required during execution phase - first in Stilow, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.TasksTender Phase (ITO) : Coordinate costing and scheduling of commissioning activitiesDefine and implement the subcontracting strategy in alignment with EHS, Quality, Planning & SourcingPrepare tender documentation related to commissioningPlan and organize temporary and permanent site infrastructureActively contribute to the project team from early development through completionExecution Phase (OTR) : Responsible for staffing, mobilization and tracking of site commissioning teamsPrepare and align the commissioning schedule with internal and external stakeholdersMonitor progress, quality and EHS performance according to GE standardsCollaborate closely with the engineering office for timely delivery of technical data and documentationPrepare and maintain commissioning documentation (ITPs, reports, non-conformance records)Lead an international team of commissioning engineers on-site for HVDC projectsProfileAn appropriate qualification in Electrical Engineering with several years of work experience would be advantageous but equivalent experience in Commissioning Management is also feasibleHave appropriate health and safety experience, trainings and qualifications in line with international standards for roles of this nature to be able to identify and stop unsafe worksPrevious experience of undertaking the role of Commissioning Manager on a large Substation Project.
