ETC is seeking a Senior Accountant for our Holzkirchen office with extensive accounting experience, and who is an established leader in their discipline. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or comparable business experience in increasingly responsible positions in Accounting.

Representative Responsibilities :

  • Finalize Trial Balance

o Review expenses, identify anomalies and propose adjustments

o Reviews various financial reports for accuracy and adherence to accounting guidelines and regulations

o Accumulates and analyzes information necessary to support financial statements, reports, and tax returns

o Reconciles inconsistencies

  • Backup for creating monthly variance reports and other management reporting as needed
  • Analyze data and assists in preparation of statements, reports, and tax returns
  • Receive, review, and analyze source information for validity and appropriate approvals
  • Assist with Finance projects involving compliance, adding new offices, new software etc.
  • Back up for preparation of VAT / EC Sales / Intrastat returns
  • Prepare returns to office of national statistics & other required reporting
  • Assist in preparation of workpapers for audit
  • Prepare & maintain department procedures
  • Support the Finance Manager with tasks including

    • o Monitoring credit & collection applications

    o Cash management

    o Financial audit tasks

  • Perform other similar or related duties as requested or assigned

    • o Complete special projects and requests in a timely and positive fashion.

    o Back up for bookkeeper

    Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Certified account IHK or comparable business experience in increasingly responsible positions in the related discipline
  • Additional 5 + years of job-related experience
  • Familiarity with large business systems SAP
  • Experience in a multi-currency environment
  • Experience of Integrated Standard Costing
  • Experience of accounting for foreign branches and subsidiaries
  • Experience of DE and EU VAT requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of a Senior Accountant.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and perform multiple tasks without general supervision.
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of SAP highly recommended
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure & achieve tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
