Fallprotec is a Luxembourgish company that conceptualizes, develops and sells protective equipment for work at height and access machines to perform building maintenance (BMU).

Thanks to the great successes encountered by the initial range of product over last decade, Fallprotec develops more and more complex and technologic products such as autonomous hoist, robots through self-founded R&D projects.

The company is facing multiple challenges due to the international growth and the enlargement of the range of product. Today, almost half of the turnover is performed outside Europe and exports play a major role in our company development and corporate identity.

Exports will continuously grow especially in South-East Asia, South America and the Middle East.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The position requires high level of organization and project management skills.

Within the Engineering department in collaboration with sales and production departments your task is to :

• Develop R&D projects in line with the specifications drawn up by the technical manager.
• Optimize the concepts and designs with analytical and mechanical assessments aligned with current standards.
• Collaborate with engineering team to achieve integrated and optimized solutions.
• Create conceptual and manufacturing shop drawings (2D and 3D plans and specifications).
• Prepare internal test campaigns, do the tests, participate to the setp up and certifications. (hands-on)
• Generating calculations notes
• Contribute in improving products, the processes or any other activity within the company.

ESSENTIAL REQUIEREMENTS

• Education : 5 years Engineering degree or master’s degree in mechanical / industrial / Mechatronics Engineering
• Experience : first experience in the field of the company is an advantage
• Work permit for EU

EXPERIENCES / SKILLS

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
• Design experience (2D and 3D). Ideally with Autodesk (INVENTOR AUTOCAD)
• Good understanding of customer requirements to translate them into technical solutions
• Project Management skills
• Sense of responsibility and urgency - Showing initiative, being proactive
• Good analytical and problem-solving capability
• Must be detail focused
• Willingness to travel occasionally
• Able to work under pressure and in autonomy
• Teamwork
• French or English is mandatory. Any other language would be an advantage.
