Managing Director (f/m/d) - Shipyard

Our client specializes in the design and production of custom-made premium boats. The shipyard is known worldwide for the high quality of its mega-yacht tenders and high-performance professional boats.

It stands out especially for its unique know-how in the production of lightweight and robust carbon fiber hulls. With a turnover of around 6 million euros, the company aims to double this figure over the next 10 years.

As subsidiary of a well-established leader in high-performance boats, the company is focused on expanding its presence in Germany and entering international markets, with a particular focus on the military and private sectors.

In order to achieve these ambitious goals, the company is actively seeking a new Managing Director to drive and achieve its growth objectives.

Location : North Germany

Your tasks

• You will develop and implement our company's visionary strategic goals to drive long-term success
• You will lead restructuring efforts to unlock growth potential and seize new business opportunities
• You will manage and improve our financial performance, overseeing budgeting, forecasting and reporting
• You will act as the primary liaison with our parent company, ensuring strategic alignment and synergy
• You will maintain and develop our international customer and partner relationships
• You will ensure that all products and services meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations
• You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, quality and cost-effective resource management
• You will drive innovation in product development and services to keep us at the forefront of the milpro industry

Your Profile

• You have a Engineering background
• You bring a solid track record as a manager, with additional experience in change management
• You possess a sales mindset and entrepreneurial spirit, with proven experience in negotiating commercial contracts
• You have a background in P&L responsibilities
• You are experienced in selling technical products
• You are a visionary leader with extensive experience in the marine or military industry, particularly in shipyards or the nautical sector in general
• You have a passion for boats or are familiar with the codes of the nautical industry
• You are fluent in both German and English
