Senior Solutions Architect
Venquis currently has a permanent opportunity for an experienced (Senior) AWS Solutions Architect to join a partnered consultancy and support their innovative, exciting, and transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities :
Cloud Architecture and Design :
- Design and implement robust AWS cloud solutions that meet business requirements.
- Create architectural diagrams and documentation for proposed solutions.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices.
Implementation and Deployment :
- Lead the deployment of AWS infrastructure using tools like CloudFormation and Terraform.
- Automate deployment processes and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Oversee the migration of applications and data to the AWS cloud.
Security and Compliance :
- Implement and manage AWS security best practices, including IAM, VPC, and security groups.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
Performance Optimization :
- Monitor AWS environments for performance and cost efficiency.
- Optimize resource utilization to improve system performance and reduce costs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.
Collaboration and Support :
- Work closely with development teams to integrate AWS services into applications.
- Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops on AWS best practices.
Continuous Improvement :
- Stay updated with the latest AWS services and technologies.
- Evaluate and recommend new AWS tools and services to enhance our cloud environment.
- Continuously improve and refine cloud architecture and processes.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an AWS Solutions Architect or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS services and architecture, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and more.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and storage solutions on AWS.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) certification is highly desirable.
- Must be proficient in both German and English
