Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts / services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service.
They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners.
They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and / or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services;
collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business / supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.
This position can be based anywhere in EMEA, ideally nearby one of our TE sites.
- Procurement of spare parts and assemblies for small series of machines
- Development of new suppliers with focus on Eastern Europe
- Managing Contracts and other commercial agreements with suppliers
- Experience with precision mechanics parts and assemblies
- Analysis and Realisation of cost saving potentials
- Evaluation, processing and presentation of key figures relevant to purchasing
- Capability for the Integration of our cost and value analysis
- Experience in project purchasing for a larger industrial company, certainty in negotiations and a good technical understanding
- Monitoring of the delivery dates in compliance with the order specifications
What your background should look like :
- Completed studies, e.g. in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable commercial / technical education
- Routine in MS Office (especially Excel), experience with SAP systems is a plus
- Business fluent English, good German and at least one of the following languages are a plus (Czech, Romanian, Polish, Ukrainian, French)
- In addition to your team player qualities, you convince with your confident demeanor towards suppliers, your solid knowledge of contract law, your pronounced communication skills and a structured, goal-oriented, independent and reliable way of working
