Tasks

• Preparation of histological sections using rotary and sliding microtomes
• Processing of fresh biopsies and embedding of tissue
• Sample processing : H&E staining macrodissections and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH)
• Sample management : archiving and de-archiving of samples as well as preparation for sample shipment
• Preparation and execution of orders
• Maintenance and regular servicing of laboratory equipment
• Working in a regulated environment (GCP)
• Creation and revision of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Documentation and analysis of results
• Database entry and maintenance (electronic recording and documentation of all processes using LIMS)
• Preparation and follow-up of internal and external audits
• Support in the establishment and validation of new analyses
