Algorithm & Optimization Backend Developer (m/f/d)

Intro We are on a mission to drastically reduce global carbon emissions by revolutionizing the energy strategies of manufacturing companies.

Founded on groundbreaking research from Stanford and RWTH Aachen, our software enables enterprise companies like BMW to navigate the new volatile energy world to transition and operate to new energy technologies.

Thus enabling a shift to renewable energies effectively and affordably. With our core system, we have demonstrated to save individual DAX companies hundreds of millions in their energy budget, and are not stopping there.

And for that, we need you to join us! We are looking for back-end developers with deep knowledge in the development of optimization algorithms who are impact driven and bring fresh ideas.

Continuous improvement of our algorithms is crucial for us to create the product for the impact we want to have on the world.

As a Backend developer, you would work on our algorithms and set up new services, APIs, and databases. You would work in close collaboration with the product team.

Tasks Develop new algorithms to extend the energy decision making capabilities of our software Extend our Energy System Model Develop APIs.

Be versatile and enthusiastic about improving and challenging our current algorithms Requirements You have a Degree in Computer Science , a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Knowledge in optimization algorithms You have experience with complex algorithms and in troubleshooting problems across services and functional areas.

You ideally have experience in Julia, Python or comparable programming languages such as R. You are not too shy to write tests and are familiar with CI / CD Tools (Github Actions).

You love to share your thoughts and grow with others. You are a team player and ready to work in a flexible working environment.
