Category Manager - Utility Scale Solar / PV Design & Construction
An exciting opportunity has come up for an experienced professional within the renewables / electrical / transmission space to join an international Solar / PV business who specialise in the development and construction of utility scale projects.
This role will fit into the central procurement function and will help shape the energy transition and strategic orientation of the business.
Your responsibilities will include the global standardisation of the required HV & MV grid connection, transformer & switchgear used across the projects, qualifying new suppliers, construction market research, and concluding frame and project contacts.
Experience / skills
- 3+ years experience in renewable industry, power transmission, supply chain or similar
- Independent, systematic and proactive way of working, especially in the structured preparation of supplier qualification, tender formulation and contract conclusion
- Confident appearance and ability to prepare and present information to senior management
- Strong communication as well as experience in managing complex networks of internal interfaces, suppliers, service providers, and customers
- Business fluent in English, any German is a plus
- Willing and able to travel
- Degree or similar industry experience
