Mission Management Autonomous Systems (m / f / d)

As a Mission Management Engineer, you hold a significant key position within our MOSAIC Team. Your task is to develop and implement mission planning systems for autonomous drone operations . With our world-class team, currently comprising six members, you will play a central role in pushing the boundaries of drone technology. ​

You will collaborate closely with the AI and Swarming departments to ensure the seamless integration and quality of our software solutions. ​​

What is your Day to Day Mission :

Design and develop mission planning systems for autonomous drone operations, including single-drone, teaming, and swarming scenarios ​

Implement algorithms for dynamic task allocation, route optimization, threat detection, and avoidance in complex operational environments ​

Develop systems that interpret high-level mission intent and translate it into executable drone behaviors ​

Design collaborative control strategies for drone swarms and multi-platform mission coordination ​

Integrate mission planning software with real-time communication and control systems ​

Ensure robustness of mission planning systems under electronic warfare and communication disruption scenarios ​

Collaborate closely with software, AI, and control systems teams to optimize decision-making frameworks ​

Conduct simulations and field tests to validate mission planning algorithms and strategies ​

What you bring to the team :

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field ​

Strong experience in mission planning, path optimization, or autonomous vehicle navigation ​

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, Rust, or similar ​

Knowledge of AI / ML algorithms for decision-making and adaptive behavior ​

Experience with swarm intelligence or distributed control systems ​

Familiarity with defense or aerospace mission planning concepts (FCAS or similar projects is a plus) ​

Strong understanding of secure communication protocols and real-time control systems ​

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in fast-paced environments ​
