Trade Compliance Specialist EMEA (m / f / d)

What you will enjoy doing

• You are the responsible representative of the Compliance Organisation in the Operating Segment Europe, Middle East and Africa ( EMEA ) for export control and international sanction regulations ( Trade Compliance )
• Furthermore you will provide pro-active, business-oriented advice taking into account German, EU and, if applicable, US or other laws and regulations
• Establishing, maintaining, implementing, and continuously improving the Trade Compliance Program in alignment with Linde's corporate Trade Compliance organisation and all relevant Linde internal requirements (incl.

policies, guidelines, standards etc.) is part of your responsibiities

• Additionally you are handling trade compliance inquiries, including M&A, and communicating with authorities, customers, logistics service providers, suppliers and other internal departments
• You are developing and improving the processes and tools for EMEA’s sanction lists screening and export controls
• Preparing, improving and implementing Trade Compliance instructions, guidelines and trainings for relevant target groups in accordance with Linde plc’s Compliance Program are part of this role
• Furthermore you are creating and implementing sample contract clauses and standards to ensure the appropriate and legally compliant handling of Trade Compliance risks
• As well as managing and supporting the advancement and implementation of trade compliance IT solutions

What makes you great

• You possess a Master’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Economics, Law or similar specialization with a focus on foreign trade or contract law or comparable qualification
• You have a minimum 3 years’ professional Trade Compliance experience in private practice or in legal / compliance department of multinational company
• Furthermore you possess in-depth knowledge of German and EU export control and foreign trade regulations with regard to international requirements.

Knowledge of US export control law is desirable

• You have strong system skills relating to Trade Compliance and screening solutions (e.g. SAP and SAP GTS)
• Additionally you excel in communication and project management, and enjoy fostering robust and trustworthy professional relationships
• You have the highest degree of integrity and you enjoy working in a team.
• Being able to adapt well to a fast-changing environment is your strength
• You are fluent in English;fluency in German is a plus
