Professor of Systematic Theology (75%) (f/m/d)
beginning September 2025. The successful candidate will teach classes and seminars in the following six academic programs : B.
A. Evangelische Theologie , B.A. Theologie / Pädagogik im interkulturellen Kontext , B.A. Theologie / Soziale Arbeit im interkulturellen Kontext , B.
A. Theology / Development Studies , M.A. Evangelische Theologie , and M.A. Theologie - Gemeinde - Weltchristenheit. The IHL expects well-grounded and internationally recognized academic scholarship in the whole fi eld of Systematic Theology, and preferably in its missiological perspective;
international research collaboration and organisation; experience of teaching in a range of contexts, as well as fl uency in English and German.
The applicant is expected to strengthen the research performance of the IHL. According to 47 LHG of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg, applicants must have a doctoral degree, 5 years of occupational experience (3 of 5 years outside of the academic realm), and the ability to teach in an educational setting.
In addition, the successful candidate will involve him- / herself in research projects which strengthen the mission of the IHL and contribute to the wider academic and ecclesial discourse.
Moreover, he / she will actively participate in the academic self-governance of the IHL. Besides academic qualifications, all faculty members must identify with the confession of faith and the preamble of the Primary Statute of IHL ( https : / / www.
ihl.eu / hochschule / profil / praeambel / ), and be a member of a Protestant denomination. The salary will be according to the internal salary scale.
