Head of Certification Body Centre – Sustainability (f/m/d)
Aufgaben
Responsible for overseeing overall accreditation (both existing and new) under CB and VVBs. The goal is to ensure seamless climate change business operations for the group.
Manage various CBs and VVBs functionally, while also developing teams to handle the growing business demands.
Ensure strict adherence to standards and maintain the quality of project delivery. Supervise the effective implementation of validation and / or verification / certification procedures on a global scale.
Drive harmonization and establish a uniform governance structure across all CBs and VVBs.
Develop and maintain TUV SUD’s own standards and guidelines for products, processes, and organizational practices.
Foster team development by providing training and qualifications to auditors across various CBs and VVBs.
Maintain the competence of validation and / or verification personnel. Directly and indirectly manage a team of 15-20 professionals.
Responsible for handling internal and external audits in collaboration with respective CB / VVB managers.
Represent TUV SUD globally in various local and international forums related to climate action certification.
Qualifikationen
A University degree (M.Tech. / B.Tech) or equivalent in the field of engineering, natural science, or related discipline
15+ years’ experience in the field of Climate change, carbon credit market or GHG emission reduction areas
Experience in working with certification bodies (CBs) and validation & verification bodies (VVBs). The position involves functional responsibility for multiple CBs and VVBs operating in fields such as Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), Gold Standard (GS), Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), ISO 14065, and ISO 17065, etc.
Should be well-versed in accreditation and certification requirements related to CDM, GS, VCS, ISO 14065, and ISO 17065
Familiarity with climate change policies, reporting standards (including relevant ISO standards), the GHG Protocol, UNFCCC guidance and IPCC Guidelines is crucial as this position represents the organization in various accreditation forum meetings
Strong management skills, since this role oversees accreditation and harmonization of quality management systems across global CBs and VVBs.
The candidate will collaborate with CB / VVB managers and QA managers globally
Outstanding presentation, communication (in English, with German as a beneficial skill), and project management skills, coupled with the ability to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Additional Advantage : Direct work experience with organizations like UNFCCC, VERRA and Gold Standard would be an added advantage
Ability to travel in the regions on a regular basis
