Our client is a major player in the field of Industrial equipment. For its Luxembourg based Headquarter, they’re currently looking to recruit a Senior Accountant (m / f)
Mission
Responsibilities
Ensure the timely and accurate recording of financial transactions by posting journal entries related to various business activities, including sales, expenses, and accruals.
Maintain well-organized documentation to support each journal entry, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Performing daily and monthly journals, reconciliations
Perform regular reconciliations of key accounts, including bank accounts, vendor accounts, and intercompany balances. Investigate and resolve discrepancies to ensure the integrity of financial data.
Work with other departments to rectify outstanding issues and ensure all transactions are accounted for properly
Assist in the preparation of both standalone and consolidated financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Compile supporting schedules and notes to the accounts as required for management reporting and regulatory filings
Compile and prepare group reporting packs in accordance with group policies and deadlines. Ensure the data provided to group headquarters is accurate, timely, and complies with internal reporting guidelines.
Collaborate with other accounting and finance teams to consolidate financial results across business units.
Facilitate audit processes by providing requested documentation and explanations for internal and external auditors. Assist in the resolution of audit findings by researching and responding to audit inquiries.
Ensure that records and documentation are readily available and compliant with legal and company standards.
Act as a key liaison between the local finance team and the group controlling team, ensuring smooth communication and consistency in financial data and reporting.
Support the group controlling function in various tasks, such as variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and intercompany transactions.
Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at optimizing accounting processes, improving efficiency, and enhancing financial accuracy.
Assist in the development and implementation of new financial controls, systems, and procedures as needed.
Ensure that all financial activities adhere to the company’s internal controls, accounting policies, and relevant financial regulations.
Stay updated on new accounting standards and assist in the implementation of any changes required by regulatory bodies.
Provide support for various ad hoc projects as needed.
Profile
Profile
Degree educated in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in a similar role( preferably in industrial companies)
Knowledge of local GAAP, IFRS is considered an advantage
Fluent in English good command in French
Degree educated in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in a similar role
Experience in LuxGAAP and IFRS is necessary
Fluent in English good command in French
It is mandatory for the candidate to have previous hands on experience with
Inventory
Fixed assets (property plant and equipment). Experience with assets under construction is highly desirable.
