Senior Product Owner (Schematic Applications)
Responsibilities
Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division (Hexagon) is seeking a Senior Product Owner to work on our schematic applications based in Europe or North America.
You will work as a business analyst and play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our business needs and our development team's capabilities.
You will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements, as well as assisting in the successful delivery of software projects.
You'll have a strong understanding of Engineering Project execution, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and end-users to understand and document their business needs, objectives, and challenges.
- Analyze and prioritize requirements, ensuring they are clear, complete, and aligned with project goals.
- Create detailed business requirements documents, use cases, user stories, and other relevant documentation to effectively communicate requirements to the development teams.
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring a clear understanding of requirements and facilitating effective communication throughout the project.
- Collaborate with QA teams to develop test cases and ensure that software solutions meet specified requirements and quality standards.
- Assist in managing changes to project scope, schedule, and costs by assessing the impact of requested changes and facilitating change approval processes.
- Identify potential project risks and work with stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies.
- Perform data analysis as needed to support decision-making and provide insights into business processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical / Process, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience in Capital projects working for Owner Operator (O / O) or Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) or proven track record of managing / working as expert in the design and detailing of 2D Process, Instrumentation and / or Electrical disciplines.
- Exposure to As-built retrofit engineering or knowledge in operations, As-Built design change workflows.
- Working knowledge of Hexagon ALI’s Schematics applications (Smart P&ID, Smart Instrumentation, Smart Electrical), understanding of Engineering Domain and associated methodology (Oil & Gas, Marine, Mining and EPC) in process, instrumentation and / or electrical areas (including design & maintenance of

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies (., Agile, Scrum) and project management tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
