We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Orthopaedic Area Sales Manager to join our dynamic sales team.
They are looking for candidates with previous Orthopaedic sales experience or for Orthopaedic Scrub Nurses with 3+ years experience who are willing to go into an Orthopaedic Sales Role!
This is to increase their footprint and get their exciting portfolio in front of new clients. You will be selling knee and hip implants.

Job Summary :
The Orthopaedic Area Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and driving sales within a designated geographic area, focusing on orthopaedic medical devices and solutions.
This role requires a strong understanding of the orthopaedic market, excellent sales skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
Sales Strategy and Execution :
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to achieve sales targets and business objectives within the assigned area.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market share by promoting and selling orthopaedic medical devices and solutions.
- Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
Relationship Management :
- Build and maintain strong relationships with orthopaedic surgeons, hospital administrators, purchasing managers, and other key decision-makers.
- Provide product education and training to healthcare professionals, ensuring they are knowledgeable about our products and their benefits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to deliver exceptional customer support.
Territory Management :
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the assigned territory, including key accounts, customer profiles, and market dynamics.
- Plan and prioritize sales activities, including customer visits, product demonstrations, and participation in industry conferences and events.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and prepare reports to track progress against sales targets and identify areas for improvement.
Team Leadership :
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to a team of sales representatives within the assigned area.
- Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and identify opportunities for skill development and training.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, promoting teamwork and a customer-centric approach.
Qualifications and Requirements :
- Proven track record of success in medical device sales, in the orthopaedic field.
- Experience as an Orth Scrub Nurse in relation to knee and hip implants OR experience selling products related to hip and knee joint replacement / reconstruction field or selling hip / knee implants
- Your experience needs to be recent within the last 2-3 years.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as required.
