Are you passionate about researching and developing innovative technologies and want to actively shape the future of biochips? Then you've come to the right place! As a growing start-up we are looking for a motivated Laboratory Technician for DNA Origami (m / f / d) to work with us at the interface of science and technology and advance our vision of highly sensitive biochips.
- Conduct DNA origami assembly reactions and purification according to established protocols
- Preparation of buffer solutions and oligonucleotide stock solutions for DNA origami assembly reactions
- Conduct laboratory experiments, assays, and analyses under the direction of senior laboratory staff
- Instruments and methods frequently used in your daily laboratory work include : gel electrophoresis, ultrafiltration, laser scanner and UV-Vis photometer
- Maintain laboratory records and ensure that all data is properly documented
- Collaborate with researchers to troubleshoot experiments and optimize or develop new laboratory techniques and protocols
- Perform routine laboratory maintenance tasks such as cleaning, organizing equipment and workspaces
- Participate and report in team meetings
Requirements
Training as a technical assistant (e.g. CTA, BTA, etc.) in biochemistry, nanotechnology, molecular biology or in a related fieldAt least 1-2 years of experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in the biotech or life-science industryComprehensive knowledge of biochemistry techniques and laboratory proceduresHaving strong focus and reliability in executing experimental work in the laboratoryAbility to follow instructions and work according to standardised protocolsExcellent organisational and time management skills to handle multiple experiments simultaneouslyA high flexibility in everyday laboratory work and adaptability to changing plansAn independent, self-motivated working manner with the ability to communicate and work effectively in an interdisciplinary teamA positive and open attitude combined with the willingness to learn new thingsGreat English skillsPreferred Requirements and Expertise :
Operating expertise for the following devices : HPLC, DLS and plate readerExperience and knowledge in the field of DNA-nanotechnology, ideally in DNA-origamiGood German understanding
