In Group Research & Mercedes-Benz Cars Development (RD), we are shaping the automobile generations of the future. By this we mean innovative products of the highest quality and efficient development processes.

We are already working today on vehicles that will secure Daimler's technological leadership in the future.

In addition to hardware, control units and cloud solutions, MB.OS aims to make software changes available to our customers even faster, easier and more frequently.

As part of MB.OS, the SUMS team is responsible for integrating certification requirements into the development and modification process as well as updating vehicles with software updates securely and transparently for the authorities.

The team supports the vehicle series from the start of certification activities in order to ensure compliance with the defined processes and the creation of the necessary verification documents.

These are some of the challenges you will face :

• Continuous further development of the current development processes with regard to efficient implementation of the requirements from the SUMS regulations for current vehicle series
• Implementation of SUMS requirements in the new MB.OS development environment (processes, methods, tools)
• Coordination of the model series-specific roadmap for certification and update activities
• Consolidation of the certification configurations at overall vehicle level
• Checking the required verification documents for completeness
• Coordination of release packages from the SUMS perspective for vehicle updates after the start of series production

Qualifikationen

Ideally you have the following :

• A completed technical degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering / business informatics, quality management or similar.
• Understanding of the principles of systems engineering and effective chain analysis
• Experience in process design and implementation
• Knowledge of configuration, change and release management processes for EE components / software
• Experience in the certification of complex electronic systems
• Basic knowledge of software development and corresponding documentation
• Business fluent in German and English

Personal skills :

• High analytical and conceptual competence
• Experience in coordinating a wide range of interface requirements
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• High degree of initiative, goal, result and customer orientation
