Sales Director
Position title : Sales Director, full time permanent role
Location : Germany (preferred in and around Bonn)
Must be legally to work in Germany, and / or EU countries
Fully remote role, half of the time travelling on sales calls, or working from home. Occupational visit to head offices
Roles and responsibilities :
Our client is looking to hire an experienced Sales Director to drive sales initiatives across Germany, Austria, and neighboring countries.
This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual contributor who thrives on building relationships and achieving high-value sales, particularly in complex markets.
The Sales Director will report directly to senior leadership and play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve growth targets within the designated territory.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders, fostering strong relationships to enhance customer loyalty and drive sales.
- Manage a sales pipeline with long sales cycles, typically lasting two to three years, while cultivating leads over extended periods.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, particularly in Eastern Europe, while expanding two existing accounts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales initiatives with overall business objectives.
- Travel extensively (up to 50% of the time) within Germany to meet clients, attend industry events, and explore new market opportunities.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 10 years of sales experience, preferably in relevant industries, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Fluency in both German and English, with excellent communication skills to engage diverse clients and stakeholders effectively.
- Demonstrated experience with high-value deals, particularly those valued at 1,000,000 EUR and above.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to manage long sales cycles and adapt to changing market dynamics.
- Team-oriented approach, prioritizing collective success and collaboration over individual ego.

- Uncapped commission structure offering on each sale, with additional fixed bonuses tied to contract renewals and annual sales quotas.
- Potential earnings exceeding 1.5 times of base salary in the first year based on performance.
Paid travel expenses including hotel accommodations, flights etc., with reimbursement for incidental expenses.
