Evolutive Production Supervisor

Our client is a leading automotive supplier and is recruiting for a Production Supervisor.

The Supervisor will manage a team of around twenty people.

The role of the Production Supervisor consists of managing production performance, personnel issues and HSE (Hygiene, Safety & Environment) standards of several Autonomous Production Groups (GAP).

He carries out the following missions on a daily basis :

Management : Creates positive and constructive conditions for performance (Quality, Costs, Deadlines) of the GAP

• Communicates new information to the GAP leader, coming from the UAP Manager, useful to the top 5.
• Is engaged in the process of continuous improvement of production, quality and safety 70% of his time.
• Builds, updates work SWs and displays them at workstations
• Defines training needs (Versatility and Poly-skills) in line with its budget.
• Ensures that GAP staffing levels are sufficient to achieve objectives and that staffing is appropriate.
• Is present on site before and after his TOP5 to answer questions or address problems.

HSE : Ensures that conditions are favorable for GAP operators to work safely :

Helps the leading GAP to apply the procedures and rules in force in the field of safety and HSE

Ex : cleanliness of the work environment, 5S, work attire, etc.)

• Prepares GAP members to anticipate and communicate any security risks.
• Ensures the conformity of the machines and the presence and updating of safety information at the stations (safety sheets, operating protocols)

Quality : Ensures that quality standards are applied

• Leads quality initiatives : target, implementation of monitoring plan, monitoring of results
• Ensures that all GAP members are trained in quality standards and apply them (Ex : 7 basics, etc.)

Production : Ensures the achievement of production-related objectives

• Plans production, coordinates technical and human resources according to the manufacturing load. He has a duty to manage emergencies and must anticipate hazards.
• Enforces regular manufacturing activity (takt time)

Required profile

Ideally an engineering degree with a profesionnal English level, a siignificant management experience would be a plus (more than less 3 years), a good management of stress and crisis situations and an experience in the automotive industry.
