Payroll Specialist Germany 6 Months (Temp role).
A well-established reputable business is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Payroll Specialist to join their International Payroll team.
Reporting to the International Payroll Manager, you will be base in Germany and ensure German employees are paid accurately and on time.
The role supports remote and hybrid working model, with Germany office based in Essen.
Payroll Responsibilities :
- Thorough knowledge of Germany local legislation, taxes and other third party compliance.
- Hands on with day-to-day payroll function, from data collection, payroll calculation, data entry to check distribution, variances of pay and finalise payroll cycle.
- Provide internal finance team and payroll provider disbursements of funds for employees, benefit providers, taxes, and other third-party payments as necessary.
- Monitors payroll-related transactions and verifies that they are processed in compliance with external and internal policies.
- Ensure all processors, payments, reporting, record keeping are maintained and all payroll related obligations are met.
- Build good working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality and always-showing tact, sensitivity and support.
- Provide advice and guidance to employees and managers regarding payroll queries.
- Assist in the preparation of the EOM payroll Journal.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively to a large remote workforce.
Essential Requirements are :
- Fluent with both German and English.
- End-to-End Germany payroll processing experience, knowledge of Zues is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel required (. Vlookups, pivot tables, and index abilities).
- Strong attention to detail.
