For our European Location in Frankfurt am Main (Offenbach) we are looking for a :
Desktop Support Engineer (f / m / d)
As a Desktop Support Engineer (f / m / d) you will be part of the Service Technology Section and support Autoever internal and external users by troubleshooting and providing IT solution in a daily basis related to access / computers / apps.
Key Responsibilities :
- Setting up and cabling office desks and IT equipment for new employees, including laptops, monitors, keyboards, microphones, dock stations, and LAN network connections.
- Managing the On / Off-boarding process : providing IT equipment, AD accounts, and access.
- Responding to and resolving technical issues reported by users through various channels (ticket, email, chat, etc.).
- Providing timely and effective support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Ensuring that operating systems and software applications are up to date with the latest patches and updates.
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and other end-user devices.
- Investigating and troubleshooting problems related to operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
- Repairing or replacing faulty hardware components.
- Installing, upgrading, and configuring the Win 10 operating system and HAEE software applications.
- Providing support for standard Microsoft Office applications and troubleshooting issues related to software functionality.
- Maintaining accurate records of hardware and software inventory in the asset management tool.
- Documenting solutions to common problems for future reference on our Confluence page.
- Collaborating with other IT teams, such as network administrators and system administrators, to resolve complex issues.
- Providing excellent customer service by being responsive, courteous, and professional in all interactions with end-users.
- Installing, configuring, and upgrading hardware components such as CPUs, RAM, hard drives, and printers.
- Troubleshooting network connectivity issues and assisting in setting up and configuring network connections.
- Addressing basic networking issues and escalating more complex problems to the appropriate teams.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of professional experience in IT technical support
- Expert in managing and troubleshooting Windows OS.
- Must-have skills : Win10, MS Office, and AD.
- Hands-on experience at the hardware level.
- Very good analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Strong team player with excellent social skills.
- Customer orientation.
- Very good written and spoken English skills.
- Basic network troubleshooting.
Nice to have :
- MS365 Administration.
- Experience with ServiceNow ticketing system
