About our client
Our client, a European wide investment manager that primarily focuses on the sustainable and real asset market are currently looking to hire a Senior Legal Counsel to join their Munich or Frankfurt team.
The fund which has four subsidiary investment strategies which all follow the funds core principal investment values, cover a broad range of areas including ESG, real estate and green energy.
The fund currently holds multiple billions of assets under management, with assets based across a number of European countries.
Although operating in the market for a number of years, the fund is currently going through a growth phase and really increasing its corporate team head count, making it a very exciting time to join. What the job involves
As the Senior Legal Counsel, you will be based in either the fund's high performing Munich or Frankfurt Office working closely and having great exposure to the German based investment team.
On the day to day your responsibilities will be broad, but with a main focus on all aspects of whole loan and mezzanine loan transactions, from the structuring through to execution phase.
Due to being the stand-alone Lawyer in the Munich office but working as part of the wider European Legal team and a dotted reporting line into the funds General Counsel, you will have plenty of autonomy in the role and the opportunity to really build out as you see fit.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Lawyer with experience gained working on the financing or restructuring of transactions to join an already successful organisation.
- Working closely and advise management and investment teams on all aspects of loan transactions
- Assist on restructuring, workout and insolvency matters within the portfolio
- Management of legal execution process
- Take control and be the main point of contact for External Counsel
- Keep on top off regulatory changes and industry trends relevant to the fund
- Take responsibility for general corporate and legal operations across the entity
- System and investment tool management
Who we are looking for
- Experience of working on financing transactions within the investment space
- Legal experience gained within private practice or another investment firm
- Experience gained working on real estate financing would be an advantage
- German qualified Lawyer
- Fluent in German and comfortable reading and translating German legal documentation
