ACN is a pastoral relief organisation of the Catholic Church that works for Christians worldwide wherever they are persecuted or oppressed or suffer material hardship.

It is financed solely by donations, which each year support over 5,000 projects in more than 140 countries with around 100 million euros.

ACN International reports to the Holy Father and is represented by 23 national offices in Europe, America, Asia and Australia.

The International Headquarters is located in Königstein im Taunus, Germany.

We are looking to hire a dedicated Social Media Manager and Content Creator to join our team. The person will support our internal and external communications in the digital communications department, write and disseminate material and respond to inquiries from the public and media.

We are looking for the following person to join the Communications Department / Digital Communications as soon as possible :

Social Media Manager and Content Creator

full time, for the period of maternity / parental leave)

Tasks

• In coordination with Head of Digital, setting specific objectives for social media strategy
• Proposing ideas for social media content according to ACN s mission
• Developing and producing video content for social media (Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube)
• In coordination with graphic designer, creation and publication of social media content on digital platforms
• Conducting video interviews with ACN International’s project partners and heads of projects
• Research digital trends and topics relevant to ACN’s mission and work
• Monitor and measure content on social networks and (e.g. comments and shares)
• Respond to comments and queries on social media in a timely manner
• Adapting videos to other languages
• Archiving social media content
• Build relationships with Catholic influencers to foster online relationships around ACN's topics of interest

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Content Creator, copywriter, or similar role
• Hands on experience in content management, especially on FB, IG and YT
• Excellent writing and editing skills in English.
• Video-editing skills
• Attention to detail
• Excellent time-management skills
• Knowledge of Spanish, German, French or Italian would be an advantage.
