Lead CSA Resident Engineer
About the Company
As an CSA Resident Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of data center projects in the Frankfurt region.
You’ll be Collaborating closely with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally. You will be responsible for overseeing civil, structural, and architectural installations, guaranteeing they meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
Construction submittal review for documents :
- Review of technical submittals (materials and equipment submittals) against latest design and commenting.
- Review of shop drawings and fabrication drawings.
- Respond to contractors' technical queries communicated through request for information (RFI).
- Identifies and captures progress and risks from the site :
- Contribute to weekly reports identifying key issues, matters for resolution, and provide a clear and effective mechanism for exception reporting.
Snags :
- Appreciation of site quality procedures around raising snags / defects.
- Raise all snags / defects for mechanical, fire protection, and public health.
Site Visits :
- Visit the site frequently to spot check and review installations against approved construction documentation.
- Review progress on site vs. the progress reported by the contractor. If there are areas where installations are progressing without approved drawings / submittals, raise as a risk on site visit list and as an observation in QMS.
- Attendance meeting as lead from the employer's side including :
- Attendance in construction design meetings.
- Attendance in snag meetings (internal and external).
Your Profile
We are looking for a Lead / Senior CSA Engineer with ideally 5+ years of experience to lead the CSA during the construction phase on various site projects.
The scope on the construction projects includes design author supervision and site quality monitoring.
- Educational background in Civil / Structural / Architecture is required.
- Able to work within a team of site engineers from mechanical, electrical, and Controls.
- Able to understand engineering of complex multidisciplinary projects.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Full rights to work in Germany (or EU passport).
- Previous data center site experience is essential for this role.
