What do you contribute?

You’ll create impact by designing locomotive controls functional software and maintaining hardware architecture at state of the art.

This includes the whole engineering process from requirements definition via system design to implementation and continuous improvement.

• You develop functional concepts and specify system requirements for software and hardware.
• You design, develop and test PLC software applications for locomotive controls.
• You collaborate with hardware suppliers to integrate different controls components.
• You coordinate with other departments and project teams for cross functional topics and integration solutions.
• You ensure system development according to general and railway standards.
• You focus your work on the reusability of work results in terms of product and technical platform strategies.

What do you bring along?

• Your success is grounded in a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• You excel in a strong understanding of controls architecture and integration of different controls system components.
• You gained many years of experience in PLC controls and automation technology.
• Your defining qualities are excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• You’d describe yourself as team player with excellent communication skills.
• You communicate fluently in English, knowledge of German is an advantage.
• You are open for occasional, international business travels (approx. 10%).
