We are shaping the future of mobility at Mercedes-Benz by developing autonomous and automated driving systems for highways and urban areas. Become part of an agile, innovative team that is passionately working to make our vehicles even safer and more autonomous. We are looking for a talented, energetic, and dedicated colleague. You will monitor current research in the field of Sensor Perception & Fusion with focus on Lidar Perception. You will develop new algorithm approaches based on the latest State-of-the-Art Machine Learning concepts and integrate them into our next-Gen ADAS stack. You will train and validate the algorithms based on large-scale datasets in our own cloud infrastructure.
Qualifikationen
An above-average degree (master, MBA or doctorate) in Engineering, Information Technology, Physics, Mathematics or comparable natural science course of study
Strong knowledge of state-of-the-art Machine Learning concepts for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Perception and Fusion Systems
Strong knowledge about Lidar Sensors and Lidar Perception algorithms also under challenging environmental conditions
Very good and practically demonstrated programming skills in Python and C++
Practical experience with Docker, PyTorch, and cloud-based ML infrastructure e.g. on Azure, AWS or Google Cloud
Cuda programming skills and vehicle integration experience are an advantage
Maximum of 3 years of professional experience (apart from studies)
At least 3 months of experience abroad (study, international internship, work and travel) is an advantage
Strong affinity for digital technologies and enthusiasm for future trends
We value applicants who show a strong sense of social responsibility
Excellent English skills (C1) are required, proficiency in German (C level) is an advantage
You are eager to shape the transformation at Mercedes-Benz and take responsibility
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with exceptional analytical abilities
You demonstrate strong teamwork skills who motivates others to achieve their goal
