Embedded Engineer Software / Hardware / PCB Design (m/f/d) intern / thesis for IoT StartUp

We are looking for an Embedded Engineer with software and hardware development experience. Livello is building the future of autonomous retail and smart inventory management.

We are developing a revolutionary IoT Platform and telemetric Smart Kiosks with state-of-the-art smart shelving and monitoring technology.

Must-Have Requirement :

• Mandatory Internship for university and / or thesis
• On-location work is required for hands-on experience with hardware products.
• Start : By arrangement / immediately.
• Location : Düsseldorf-Bilk.

Tasks

• Developing and optimising innovative IoT and embedded products
• Software implementation in embedded C (FreeRTOS) and Python
• System Software Development and Debugging : Engage in the full cycle of design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of system software.
• Integration and System Tests Implementation : Conduct thorough integration and system testing to ensure robustness and efficiency.
• PCB Design , schematic capture, layout and testing
• Post-Production Hardware Support : Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware products post-launch.
• Sensor Technology Integration : Work on integrating various sensors for data collection and analysis.
• Research and Development : Participate in R&D activities for new technologies and methodologies in IoT and embedded systems.
• Collaboration on Cross-Functional Projects : Collaborate with teams across different functions to develop interdisciplinary solutions.
• Documentation and Reporting : Maintain detailed documentation of development processes and report on project progress.

Requirements

• Proficient in embedded C / Python / MicroPython (Typescript is a big plus!)
• PCB Design
• Experienced in working with RaspberryPis and programming ESP32 / STM32 development boards
• Background in PCB design (e.g., Altium, KiCad)
• Experienced with BLE, LTE and WiFi components
• Experienced in MQTT protocol and GNU (Ideally : RTOS)
• Experienced in working with sensors
